services.
The
Canadian
Red Cross
has trained more than 31 million Canadians with its Swimming and Water Safety Programs since 1946. Millions more are reached through public education that encourages safe enjoyment of activities in, on and around the water. Red Cross’ renowned research reports on drownings in Canada and the Injury Prevention Programs that stem from them including; Lifeguarding, swimming, boating safety, drowning prevention, make the Canadian Red Cross the expert on all fields relating to the Canadian aquatic community.

Canadian
Coast Guard
is a complex, multi-layer organization. At
its most basic, it is a collection of
marine programs and services - Search and

Traffic Services; and Navigable Waters
Protection - that are collected under the

the United States, the National
Safe Boating
